As
fans, officials and set up crews arrived for the CP Premier Flag
Football League Championship game, two teams arrived hours prior
to prepare. On the north side of the field Young Life ran
their first string offense against their first string defense.
Young Life QB and newly announced regular season MVP Braden
Richey zipped passes to his receivers that ran crisp routes. On the south side of the field, a few players were running routes, but it looked like a bunch of guys playing catch. Those guys playing catch were a loose and confident Double Shot team that escaped a first round playoff game against the Replacementz and avenged an early season loss to Canyon Creek in Round II. It was also their second straight championship game so why not have fun? That "what, me worry?" attitude was all they needed to change the momentum of the game with a first half touchdown as the first half expired.
