Unfortunately "close" and "should have" doesn't work in
the CP Premier Flag Football League and Mean Machine
along with the Patriots, Team Mother and Eastside
Thunder are all playing for pride in the remaning few
weeks.
For the second straight week, Eastside Thunder phenom,
Dave Clark, was MIA (and he still leads all receivers
with 492 yards) and both QB's weren't there to scratch
and claw their way to a victory. Instead they
played shorthanded and lost to the Replacmentz who
rebounded nicely from a loss to Double Shot the previous
week.
Young Life became the last team to finally lose a game
making Arsenal's win streak of 12 in a row the longest
in league history. |

Loaded with talent, Mean
Machine of Mars Hill fell short of their goal to make
the playoffs in their second year. |
What looked like a promising start for the boys in green
called Mean Machine came to a disastrous end last week
losing to Canyon Creek 18-0. Mean Machine QB and
former All Star, Mike Harris, couldn't keep Mean Machine
in the game with a poor performance throwing a career
high four interceptions
It seemed like only a week ago that they were an invert
whistle from going 1-0. Their second game was an
easy win over Team Mother and the should have beat
Eastside Thunder which would have brought their record |
